I cant put any wallpapers on my desktop, i cant even right click on my it, it doesnt do anything. if i put a wallpaper on there i can only see it when i turn my computer on or off, then it turns red and the stupid spyware background comes up. is there a way i can fix this myself?

if you have a spyware problem, then you definetely need some professional help, fortunately companies like microsoft and symantec are aiding for free all computer users, since this spyware problem is actually doing so much harm to their business that most large companies like ibm and microsoft are teaming up to try to eradicate this problem.

that is a active x controll, you need to uninstall the spyware / malware that is causing it first, adaware removed it for me, then you need to hide all active x content from your desktop

hmmm, maybe you should repair windows, insert the windows cd and there are some instructions about restoring your system.
or you can download ad aware or spybot from www.download.com
