This used to happen when I used to Play Crazy Taxi 3 too. It might be happening that you do not have a graphics card which can support the game.
Or it can also be that you do not have enough RAM or processor speed. The game might have not been installed properly too.

I think the most important reason causes this error ... is a problem in the Graphics card or a problem in the RAMs... to know the exact problem :
Right Click "My Computer"->Properties->Advanced->Under "Startup and Recovery" click "Settings"-> in the opened window UN check the box "Automatically restart"...
When you run the game again, mostly the computer won't shutdown or restart from its own.. a blue screen will appear to you telling you the error.... when you read it you can search for this error in http://www.microsoft.com and know what is the reason.
If you still couldn't know the problem.. you can get a graphics card from one of your friends and try it.. if the game works, then the problem was in the graphics card.. if the problem still present , try the same with the RAMs..

It cant handle the load. The memory is too low. Delete some other programs and then try running it. If that doesnt work that means you have a virus. Try some kind of anti-virus
