ASSUMING THERE IS NO RESERVE ON AN ITEM ...

Say for instance ... there is a handbag on eBay (worth $500.00) and the listing is for 7 days ... and starting bid is 100.00 --- instead of bidding the item the first couple days and raising the bidding ... if everyone would just wait until the last day to bid -- then it would be cheaper. usually with bids ... people will starting bidding the first day its up and raise the item to 250 - 400 ... but if everyone would just wait until the last day they could get the item for like 100/150 .... does anyone understand my theory? what do you think? why doesnt this work???

I know www stands for the World Wide Web. However, I've heard of URLs that begin with www1, www2 etc instead of the usual www. Why is it so? Is it just a testing ground or does it have other uses? And how are these wwws created?

I get this freakish error msg when i surf internet, "TmProxy.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close".. is this happening to you as well??When i get the error msg my internet is going down and i need to restart my computer..It's really annoying caz it happens at least twice a day to me..pls tell me what to do.

I want to have more than one internet page open at once - my browser, internet explorer, is not let me do this at moment. If I have web page open and I try to launch internet explorer again it opens up in the page that is already open. It didn't use to do this. Have explored internet optiond and help screen but cannot find answer. I'm sure there is an option somewhere to 'open internet in new page' but I cannot find it. Am operating windows XP. I got Firefox the other day, & one of the first things I noticed was how how poor the text looks (on this site particularly) compared to IE7. On Firefox, it looks like I'm typing on some cr*ppy old Amstrad, compared to the full, bold text I was used to. Is there anything I can do?

First of all I have no computer knowledge when it comes to viruses and things going wrong. I have recently had some problems with my computer. I was told to reinstall Windows XP which I have. The problem i have now is that whenever i open Internet Explorer it opens about 45 times (even though i have just clicked on the icon once) then when i eventually get onto a web page it gives me a message saying there is something wrong and IE needs to shut down. My MSN and Skype pages open automatically and i am having no problem with them so i don't think it is my internet connection? It is just IE. Please Please Please Help me. Many Thanks.

i made a new flash website and i used some code to cover up the whole back website, anyways when i upload it to imageshack the links work propretly but when i embembl it into myspace the links dont work
