It seems so many forums are moderated by anal no life nobby no mates types who rally should get a life ! What do you think?

you're wrong, that depends on type of forum and people who are moderators. most forums have more than 1 moderator.
if you don't like forum go to another one, if a moderator blocked you for reason unknown to you send him/her email ask for reason and talk. if moderator finds that you have been block unreasonable he/she will unblock you.
plain and simple.
and by the way most moderator have a life.
