Hi, my name is Billy and I'm a caveman. I know nothing about how the internet works but, my internet activity keeps stopping...What I mean is that when I check my local area network status(the 2 computer icons in the bottom right) my received activity is frozen. Is my modem going bad? How can I get a new DSL modem?? Also, will it cost money and where can i get it? I use SBC Yahoo DSL.

I did have dial-up and.....well.....if you've ever had it(dial-up) you know what I mean.I also have satillite(the dish) so my phone is always hooked to the sat. unit(for some reason, I'm not sure, just the rules).So, anyway it makes things quite confusing,don't you think?I'm looking for the most reasonable yet not so many ties to bind. Also are there any sites I can go to off-line. this could take awhle and It gets pretty boring when you can't go online and talk to someone or web surf.......something?!
