Scan for spyware and viruses. I had the same problem. It ended up just being a small bug. Microsoft has a good spyware scanner for free download.

If you are being redirected to Yahoo or some site. Check in addremove programs if there is any program by that name and remove it.

When you install yhaoo messenger it installs few other programs which would only do such stuff. Remove everything except Yahoo messenger which come under yahoo name in Add remove programs.

Go to www.download.com and download and install Ad-ware Personal Edition and Spybot Search and destroy. Update them and run a complete scan.

This will remove spyware and adware if any.

Open Internet Explorer, go to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced. And click the button Restore Defaults.

I think you should be back to normal operations.

Hi All you need to do is a System Restore on your computer in case if you are using Windows XP or higher. The other way to do is you have to download any software like HijackThis run the same on your PC. The symptoms seems to be a case of Browser Hijacking. So if thats the scenario then follow the steps and you will be uo and running....In case it does not works...Reply back,
