I think you have asked 3 questions in one. For the first question.
The site has to support resume function. If the site doesnt allow resume then the resume option would be disabled in Download Accelrator. You cannot do anything about it.
There are many freeware convertors available to convert from one format to another. Go to www.download.com and search for avi2mpeg, avi2mp4 and u will get many results.
Complete movies cannot be free. You can try P2p and torrents but they are illegal.
