I would be doing the same thing, but being more social. I would actually *call* friends on my phone, rather than IM'ing them.
Also, I would be using the yellow pages to find place and calling them asking "what are your crossroads."
Before the WWW, it wasn't much different, just took us longer to do things. Which, in my opinion, wasn't really that bad!

I'd probably be hacking electronic Bullitin Boards.. there used to be thousands of them, Computer Shopper used to take 2 months to list them out.. or more.
