i have a desktop pc connected to a printer via usb and a laptop that uses the internet wirelessly through the router on my pc. I want to share my printer with the laptop how can i do this i have already changed the properties to share and tried to browse for it but i cant find it. Anyone give me a step by step guide on how to do this ??? Thanks

I would like to share my printer too,is it as simple as just saying share this printer on properties or is there more to it.It offers me a wizard and says if you understand the dangers and want to carry on without the wizard then click here.What are the dangers because I dont really want to bother with the wizard.

I have a HP Photosmart 8050 and I put a color photo ink cartrage in but the printer isnt recognizing that its color. It thinks that its a black cartrage and its printing out black and white pictures. How do I fix it?

Hello,

I have just purchased a Toshiba Laptop running Vista, as well as a Canon Pixma iP4300 Printer. However, I am unable to successfully install the printer drivers. I have the latest release driver for the printer, which is suppossed to be for Vista, but nothing happens once everything installed, the driver fails to find the printer (and vice versa) and whilst vista finds the printer, it asks for the driver.

Hope someone can help, as once the printer installed I will be happier. Still wish I stuck with XP, as Vista is a bastard to work with, and so slow. Even with all the crap turned off and running in Classic mode, and this laptop has 1gig ram and dual core and dedicated graphics.

I just bought a Lexmark X5470.

I have DSL and out of my lone phone jack, I have a splitter. One end goes straight in to the DSL modem and the other used to have a DSL filter and then my phone plugged in to that. My phone is connected to the EXT on the Lexmark X5470. In order to use the fax machine, should I connect it to the DSL filter I had my phone connected in to?

Okay I hooked my laptop up to the printer in the usb port and stuck the memory card in the slot its supposed to go in...and now nothing is popping up!? HeLp!!!

I have a macbook and I'm trying to print to an hp psc 2400 which is connected through a USB port to a windows pc. That pc is connected to a wireless network over which I am trying to print with the mac. The printer has no ethernet port so I cannot hook it directly to the router. When I try to print it using the general mac print over windows thing it prints a page with a line of code and then starts shooting out blank sheets of paper. Thanks for your help.

A person has some printer cartridges still in their boxes never used but they are " Expired" Does the expiration date mean they are no longer any good or is it like other things they just put an expiration date on them because they have to but they are still good?

I am using a laser printer to print out envelopes for our wedding invitations. I would like to send the envelopes through the printer twice (to have the return address on the back top flap) but I heard that it's not good to put envelopes through laser printers twice. I'm guessing something with the glue?

Anyone have any experience with this and know if it will be fine if I do it? I really don't think it will do anything, but I don't want to ruin the envelopes.

The cartridge is out of ink, and replacements are overpriced. I'd like to just go on without it and do B&W printing, but it doesn't seem to allow that. Is there a way to do this? Is it safe to put a black cartridge in the color slot?
