How do I print a banner e.g. "Welcome Home" or "Happy Birthday........" from an ordinary domestic printer?

Tough without knowing what software you have, I just opened my copy of Microsoft Publisher and there is a banners option there, you just choose New .. banners.. and pick a template, follow the wizard and hey presto.

Im guessing once its printed, get the selotape handy and string it all together.

Just did a quick search and found something called PROPOSTER (http://www.tucows.com/preview/420052) although its a tenner to register, there may be an open source of freeware equivilent out there

If you want it really big, just print one letter on each page :-)
