i have a desktop pc connected to a printer via usb and a laptop that uses the internet wirelessly through the router on my pc. I want to share my printer with the laptop how can i do this i have already changed the properties to share and tried to browse for it but i cant find it. Anyone give me a step by step guide on how to do this ??? Thanks

After you share it make sure you have the correct printer drivers installed on your pc.

For instance

You laptop is 64 bit and your pc is 32 bit. Make sure you go to the advanced tab and also install the 64 bit drivers so that your 64 bit laptop can use the printer.

Also make sure the workgroup name is the same. Go to my computer and right click proprieties to make sure that the Domain: is the same.

Right click my computer on each machine, set both to the same workgroup. Set the exception for file and printer sharing in the firewall. This should make the printer and any shared folders appear in the network browser. Double-click the printer to install it.

Make sure that both of the computers are on the same network Workgroup. If they are not, they will not be able to browse each other's resources.
