Hello,

I have just purchased a Toshiba Laptop running Vista, as well as a Canon Pixma iP4300 Printer. However, I am unable to successfully install the printer drivers. I have the latest release driver for the printer, which is suppossed to be for Vista, but nothing happens once everything installed, the driver fails to find the printer (and vice versa) and whilst vista finds the printer, it asks for the driver.

Hope someone can help, as once the printer installed I will be happier. Still wish I stuck with XP, as Vista is a bastard to work with, and so slow. Even with all the crap turned off and running in Classic mode, and this laptop has 1gig ram and dual core and dedicated graphics.

I downloaded the drivers for Vista from Canon's site, and still nothing works.

Your printer doesn't come with Vista drivers and the supplied XP drivers won't work.

Go to the Canon website to see if Vista drivers are available.

If not, you'll have to wait.

eliminate the drivers, eliminate the device in device supervisor, reboot, reinstall the drivers. Get the latest Vista drivers from the producer website. What style is it? Ie. Realtek AC888
