So I installed a new game tried to play and the computer screen goes black and says "out of range" in red letters. I know someone else had a similar problem and was told to put their computer in save mode and change resolution. Well I put my computer insafe mode and got completely lost. Can someone help me. I have an emachine W2646. Thanks! Also my disk don't automatically start to play when I put them in D drive how do I fix this. There is also one disk that just won't play. It won't even pop up when I go into my computer under D drive it's just empty and when i do autoplay it just says insert disc into D drive but it's already in. I know it's a lot but any help would be appreciated.

driver in 2000 pro uses .sys driver, but 98 uses .inf driver. can't use same driver. Also, can only use 640x480 screen resolution when booting in 98

I was deleting yahoo messanger from my computer and windows media player and I think I did something I weas not suppose to but do not know what.

I went to start up my computer and it took a while for my sign on screen to show up then when I signed on it took forever for my icons to show up and my toolbar at the bottom is not showing, there is a long blue line going across the bottom that looks like the top of my toolbar and when I roll my cursor in it it turns into the little black thing that allows you to stetch something or make it smaller but the problem is it wont let me, I try to pull the toolbar up and it wont come up..My computer is being really slow and the volume is not working..

How can I fix the toolbar??? Is there a way to fix the volume without the toolbar??

About a week ago, as my Christmas present I received a Westinghouse 17" flat panel monitor... and whenever I try to lower the brightness there's a constant buzzing type sound in the back of the monitor. It sounds like the lights are making a sound while they're dimming, but the sound won't go away unless I turn the brightness back up to the highest level. I was wondering if mabye I bought a DVI cable instead of the analog I have now if that could get rid of the problem? I don't want to spend the money unless I know that will solve it.

I am considering the Samsung 225bw and the ViewSonic vx2235wm. Is there any significant difference or is it only preference?

Is there another monitor in the same $400 price range that you would recommend?

I feel silly, but it's the kind of computer screen that reacts when you touch it. For all I know all computer screens are like that now. I've had this computer for about six years now and it's covered in spots and smudges. My husband always acts like I'm going to ruin it if I touch it. He plays with me and I'm a little gulible sometimes, though. The swiffer duster isn't good enough for the kind of spots that are on this screen. I'll bet there's a specific cleaner for it and I've just never heard of it.
