driver in 2000 pro uses .sys driver, but 98 uses .inf driver. can't use same driver. Also, can only use 640x480 screen resolution when booting in 98. I want to run Warcraft 2, and Total Annihilation on 98 but they need 256 colors. (Total Annihilation will go in Win2000, but it's a little slow, and the game editor for Warcraft 2 looks better in 256 rather than 16 colors.)

did you install both copies on windows on the same hard drive partition?....considering 98 and 2000 both use the WINDOWS folder...this was bound to give you problems...and why do you want to be able to boot into 98?

sounds like u just need to download the 98 driver for your video card. No, windows 98 doesn't used any of the software/drives installed into 2000 as 2000 uses nothing installed into 98.
