As the title says, there's this very visible purple line running vertically down my laptop's LCD screen and it's annoying the hell outta me...

What gives?

I had a vertical blue line that ran right down the middle of my Toshiba laptop screen. I had to send it in for warranty repairs and they replaced the screen.

I'm gonna guess that your screen needs replaced, also.
Before I paid for that type of repair, I would make sure my computer was or wasn't under warranty.

The ribbon cable have been given broken or isn't seated marvelous whilst the liquid crystal reveal became replaced. deliver it back to whoever replaced the liquid crystal reveal and have them restoration it decrease than guarantee. That project is their fault, no longer yours. do no longer OPEN THE UNIT on your individual. Doing so will void your restoration guarantee.
