My laptop suddenly stop working and whenever I turn it on it would go to this page that says
"Please highlight one of the following:
1) Save Mode
2) Save Mode Networking
3) Save Mode (something)
4) Go to last configuration
5) Start Windows up
I try doing all of those but it keeps saying some program is messed up. What do I do? Do I need to take it to a shop to fix it? And how much would it cost?

I have Toshiba satellite. One of my friend has a habit of pointing the things at screen by touching the screen, sometime by tapping it (to add emphasis) and sometime by rolling his finger across the screen as if to underline. I am afraid it may damage my laptop screen. I would like to make sure if fear is real ? Please help.

In my city a lot of laptops are stolen from cars even though these laptops have been concealed under seats, shopping items. Totally invisible - but thievies are able to identify cars with these lap tops. And they are stolen. The theory making its way around the city is that thievies have a sensor gadget that that identify lithium ion batteries and as a result can pinpoint devices that uses these batteries be it phones or laptops. I'm no technical person. But is there such a thing in this world. If so what can be done to blunt this ? Thanks.

I have installed the Genie Back-up software on my laptop and I intend to back-up to DVD-RW and possibly online. I use Windows XP as an operating system. I have the following clarifications:

1. Generally, apart from data files what should I back-up.

2. Which are the affordable online back-up sites. Genie does offer that service but I found that quite expensive.

My mom is out to dinner and I accidentally spilled water on her keyboard....has this ever happened to anyone? I unplugged it completely from labtop and wall, and took out the battery. Is there anything else I can do? I turned it upside in hopes of draining the water. Can the computer recover? My mom makes a living on that computer and I need help fast. Please, any tips would be great...thanks so much.

I have heard great reviews about this computer but now you can only buy it with Windows Vista. Should I not get it even though its a great computer? Is Vista really that bad? Are there other computers like the HP Pavilion dv6000t that can be bought with XP? Thanks

My parents are buying me a laptop for a graduation present and though I've always wanted a mac and think it might be most helpful while I'm in college I'm really only familiar with PCs. I don't want to get to college and not have a presentation ready or something else like that because of some stupid mistake I could make by not being familiar with a mac. Which do you think will be better for college? A PC or a Mac? And should I go with what I'm familiar with or with the mac because it might be better for me?
