Well I am planning to get a new video card soon. Right now i'm running the wimpy intel 82865 chip. So usally that means that you need a new PSU. I have a dell dimension 4600 which has 250W and a max of 325W right now. The video card I am planning to buy is a GeForce 7600GT 256MB AGP. Apparently you need 400W of power to run this card. Then I saw this forum with this guy who had the same computer as me and the same video card i want. He said he ran the card fine with his stock PSU. Then I saw this website.

http://www.atomicmpc.com.au/forums.asp?s=2&c=7&t=9354

It says the graphic card i want only runs 36W? WHAT! Help me. Is it true that I dont really need a PSU or should i get one. Thanks!

What improves computer performance more?If you had a choice of 1gb of ram at a very low frequency or 2gb at a very high frequency, which would be better? Only a hypothetical question don't worry about any of the logistics just the concept. In general which would make your computer perform better?

Okay, here's the deal. Way back when I owned a different computer in which I handed down to my younger brother, I was given my dads. On my old one I bought the Dominator ATI Radeon 9550 AGP 128MB Graphics Accelerator of which I fell in love! Sadly when I switched to this (my dad's old) computer that has a super memory, it came with a ATI Radeon XPRESS 200 Series. Now I don't know much about this one, it has DirectX9.0 and all but it's graphics don't match the love of my old one. I was wondering since I make a lot of Sims 2 movies which of the two I'm better off with? Now I need someone to answer who knows something about graphic cards, because I don't want to uninstall it from mine and not be able to install it into my brothers. (Seeing how the Dominator came with a CD and not the already installed one of my dads) Thanks for any help you can give!

16 year olds DON'T know everything. Lol.

Since it doesn't have any cooling device coming with it I want it to be cooled. I have a 945G motherboard and it says something like LGA 775(think that is important but not sure)

I'm looking to buy a new video card and needed help figuring out what to go for. I'm looking at the X1650 Pro in AGP format. Newegg.com has several. My question is should I go for the card with GDDR3, even though it has lower core clock and memory clock speeds, or go for a card with GDDR2 with higher clock speeds?

Here's Neweggs.com's cards:
