I'm having to redesign my home (a bit of remodeling) so this seems like the ideal opportunity to make the most of my office space. Possibly even add a few nice bits of kit as a wee treat to myself (Wireless modem / router; 21" Flat screen monitor, etc).

The plan is to hide away most of the computer kit in a walk-in wardrobe; using wireless technology for the modem, keyboard, mouse, etc.

The only major item left out will be monitor (which will be a wall mounted new flat screen 21" model). the problem is the PC itself will be some distance away, will this cause a lag or picture distortion?

Distance equal to 30ft of cable running in wall cavity and loft space. Can this be done?

My other option was to scrap the new monitor and buy a good laptop; networking with the PC

What should i do ??

I'd just like to know what the major differences are in a BA and a BS degree in computer science are... What jobs can I get with a BA or BS that I can't get with one or the other... and so forth, I want to be a Network Planning Analyst but do not know which degree to attain. Any and all information is accepted, I need as much as I can get.
