Ok, here's my problem. When I start my IBM laptop, I can't get past this screen. The Screen has the Logo IBM, and then underneath it has the instructions to press f2 for help and then underneath it has scrolling code that has the words boot device next to it. The last thing I did on was watch a movie, and I shut it down properly. I have no idea what the operating system is, but it's an IBM laptop. Any help given would be greatly appreciated,

I just got a laptop and as soon as I turned it on in my home it connected to a wireless network. i have Comcast high-speed internet hooked up to my desktop with an Ethernet cable, and it is an Arris modem that my phone connects into as well. Since I do not have a wireless router, I am assuming I am using someone else's internet connection? I live in apartments so there are definitely people in close proximity. The connection is called link.sys if that means anything. Thanks!

Oh, and I asked ths already sort of, but to get my own connection I just need a wireless router for my cable modem, right? My wireless card is a Broadcom 802 11b/g WLAN if that helps. Any suggestion on a router and do I need one for sure if my internet already works?

Can I get in trouble for using this connection?

Hey everyone. I was playing an online game when a blue screen popped up saying "If this is the first time you saw trhis message, restart your computer..." It said at the bottom something aobout physical memory. I turned my computer off by holding the botton, and then turned it back on then by itself, it turned off, then turned back on, then off again, until I had to unplug it from the wall. How can I fix this problem, because I was playing the game again and it happened again.

My computer keeps warning me that I have limited disk space on my C drive. There is a WINDOWS folder in this drive holding a great deal of information, however, my computer warns me that I cannot rename or delete these system files. Besides that folder, the others are quite small and my D drive has next to nothing in it. Is there anyway to tell what I need in the WINDOWS folder? Can these items be compressed or altered in away as not to take up so much space?

Ok I extracted and saved the brushes under c directory- adobe - presets - brushes ...im sure yet when i open adobe photoshop and go to brushes to load they are not there?!?!???
...so i cant download them...

Heres the weird thing...when i open the brushes without the program itsel( here i mean by just going to my computer - c drive - program files - adobe - presets - brushes ) they ARE there...

What do i have to do to be able to open the brushes?

and i have tried to download them again, but the same thing happens...

I can't get a new computer..
but I'm looking for a media player that's not windows media player [it doesn't work on my computer] and one that doesn't freeze my computer. Itunes, winamp, and realplayer all freeze my computer.

Also, are there any other high quality instant messangers that support aim and its features? [like trillian, but that also freezes my computer]

I wish I could just buy a new computer but it's free to download! So please help. :)

i have optimum online and i have the modem they gave me connected to a linksys wireless router and to my desktop computer. When i test the speed of the connection from the desktop on testmy.net i get 1 star which is slow. When i disconnect the wireless router its 5 stars. Do you think if i get a gateway instead of having a modem and wireless router it will speed up my connection.
