umm im trying to download the newest msn messenger....cuz mine wont sign me in for some reason.....this computer is windows 98 and it says i need a newer version....my other computer is windows xp and i sign in fine..............so is xp free or what can i do about this?

Unfortunatly, If you cant find a friend with a clean free copy .. you will need to buy it. Xp needs some processing power So make sure your system can keep up with modern times...

pidgin would work or just not upgrade you msn it should still work fine just not have some new smile face..
a legal copy of xp home runs 95 bucks if you pc what specs do you have?

XP is not free. You can still use MSN just use something like Trillian, Gaim, etc.

im pretty sure u can get it from download.com... if that doesnt work get it from microsoft.com
u could also get windows vista, a newer version
and finally you could always get it illegally muhahah
