Ok, here's my problem. When I start my IBM laptop, I can't get past this screen. The Screen has the Logo IBM, and then underneath it has the instructions to press f2 for help and then underneath it has scrolling code that has the words boot device next to it. The last thing I did on was watch a movie, and I shut it down properly. I have no idea what the operating system is, but it's an IBM laptop. Any help given would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks

On the side of the laptop, push the button that ejects the floppy disk you left in the drive. Then restart the computer.

Press F2 and enter the Setup, check to see if anything is detected.
There should be a list of drives or channels on the first page of the BIOS Setup screen.
If everything says "None" then nothing is detected and the hardware connectivity needs to be checked.
After checking that info, add into Additional Details of what your BIOS Setup screen displays.

My best guess is to take it back to the store that you bought it from and let them look at it.

It may be trying to boot to the disk in the drive. Did you leave something in there?
