We recently got a Dell computer with Window's Vista. We use People PC for internet service. From day one we have had a bad time either getting connected or staying connected. When we can connect, we generally can't navigate away from the home page without getting that "page cannot be found" message. I went to Internet Options, Connections, Settings etc, and it makes no difference. I went online with Dell and they say it's People pc. But we have the most recent version of the software. The guy from Dell said we could unload then reinstall Vista but frankly, I would rather have a simpler solution. Please help.

As part of a science project, I need to encase a wireless router in various materials to see how those materials block the 2.4 Ghz signal (802.11g) and if so, how much. I was looking online for such a topic and am having issues finding this topic online. It continually comes up with a wifi paint, which is not part of my project.
I was wondering if anyone can steer me in the right direction as far as searching for this topic goes. Please do NOT say type it into a search engine. I am looking for specific sites. Thanks in advanced.

I am looking to buy a reasonable priced input device, but I want one of those pens that the design people use to write directly on the screen. I saw a pen from Wacom, the Intuos3 Grip Pen, but I'm not sure that I'm right in the workings of product, i.e. writing directly on the screen.

Any suggestions or advice is appreciated.

I have a windows xp computer that has trojan downloaders on it. I tried a basic system restore but when I get to the desk top, the trojan is still there; my newly restored computer says there are virus (again).

I tried an ADVANCED system restore but after it completes, it does not go the blue setup screen. It keeps restarting over and over again. ( You know, the screen that asks if you can hear sound and what not).

Is there a program/software I can just buy that when inserted into the computer, it wipes out that nasty trojan?

I am not able to find any of the regular programs for the office suite such as Works, Excel, Access, etc. I had to type my resume on the word pad and when I attach it it doesn't come in doc format so I don't think people are able to open it. I want my old stuff back!

Ive recently bought a new imac but really need to have windows running on it. Ive downloaded bootcamp beta but i dont know if when i upgrade to leopard my windows installation will still work, as leopard is coming with bootcamp built in. I dont want to have to reinstall windows as soon as i upgrade to leopard, but i also cant wait until leopard is released, i need windows now. Should i just go for it and use bootcamp beta and hope i dont have problems when i upgrade to leopard?

i just changed to maxonline using a ""Motorola cable modem - Model SB5101"" and i want to add a wireless router that is ""PROLiNK Hurricane 6300G Wireless 802.11g ADSL2+ Ethernet ModemRouter""...

now i connected my prolink to my cable modem and then using something like LAN i connected it to my PC and the connection works, now i'm having problems using my wireless connection by my laptop it can detect it but it cant find any DNS and setup is auto detect settings, and now i can't connect to the net, even though i'm connected to my prolink..

how to solve this kind of problem???

I have cable modem downstairs with a 4-port "wired" router sharing the internet between 3 PCs (2 downstairs, and mine is upstairs).

I recently puchased an Xbox 360 (which is upstairs as well) and want to connect that to my network, however, there is no way I can connect it to the router downstairs. I tried another router upstairs, but it didn't work so I took it back.

What equipment can I buy to use upstairs that will allow my PC and Xbox to be on the internet at the same time?

Does the new AT&T wireless connection card work on airplanes? I mean, in the commercial, the guy is working from a swamp!!! If not, is there any other such card that could be used? Also, must AT&T be your ISP or can you just buy the card and connect? I am taking a trip from FL to AZ and will not only want to be connected while in-flight, but also when I am in the mountains in Sedona.

After having messed around with the worksheet (colours, etc) the gridlines disappear. I can then put them back by going to the border tab on format cells. However, when this is done, the gridlines are black, and not the feint grey colour that you have when starting work on an Excel worksheet, and this is what I want. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance

Recently i encountered some serious problem with my computer (MODEL: HP dx5150 MT). Sometimes the computer would not start up when i press the switch-on button. Instead, the LED below the switch will flash red five times, once every second, followed by a two second pause, and the computer beeps five times. Strangely, this seems to happen only on alternate days. My computer is currently working normally but the problem will surface again on the next day. The red flashing will occur again and the screen will not display anything, not even the boot menu (Note that my monitor is working properly). I have done the troubleshoot online. It says that the problem lies in the memory, which is installed incorrectly or is bad. Solving the problem will require the resetting of DIMMs and the replacing of system board. I am really getting fed-up with this problem. It is really affecting my school's project work and i had to use the CPUs in school everyday to do my project.... HELP me please!!!
