Welcome friend. Hope you enjoy our little community here at Answers.

Couple of ways for you...

If it is for a home application and came on a CD or DVD, copy the CD or DVD. Make sure you save your key info.

If you got the software by a download, then make a copy of the zip file or whatever you downloaded.

If the software was installed via the internet, the best you can do in most cases is to save the link you used to get the software.

If the software is an enterprise app, then your best bet is to contact the vendor and take their recommendations. Other than that, make a backup copy of the file system and put it to tape.

In all cases, make sure you save any custom configuration and the install locations.

Good Luck and have fun.

Depeending on the software you simply use your computers Copying Software.
Remember not all are suppose to be copied, many will have security Keys to unlock them.
And, each Operating System may have a little different software to copy with, depending on the amount of Ram in your Computer as well as Proccessor Speed.
Some are on DVD's while others are on CD's
It is not as simple as just putting in a CD/ or DVD and click copy. Sometimes it may require you to have the Original Disc at other times you can simply select the Softwares Folder and copy it. It really depends on the piece of software you are trying to copy.
