I have a windows xp computer that has trojan downloaders on it. I tried a basic system restore but when I get to the desk top, the trojan is still there; my newly restored computer says there are virus (again).

I tried an ADVANCED system restore but after it completes, it does not go the blue setup screen. It keeps restarting over and over again. ( You know, the screen that asks if you can hear sound and what not).

Is there a program/software I can just buy that when inserted into the computer, it wipes out that nasty trojan?

thank you

Download Ad-Aware SE, Spybot Search & Destroy, and Microsoft Defender.

just put your OS disk in and boot from that disk and reinstall a new operating system in ntfs file format and do not do the quick format as it may not wipe it out completely
