Now whene my computer starts.the hdd comes up very slowe.

I have a Aesus A7S8X-MX motherboard and am now running two IDE/ATA hard drives. I've added a SATA drive (MAXTOR STM3250310AS) which I believe is blank..XP recognises the drive is there and says it is working properly but I can't see it in Explorer (should be F:) to format it. In Device Manager is has no location. BIOS is showing it as either Primary or Secondary SATA (I've tried it in both slots).
The Maxtor is SATA 2. The cable from Maplin was said to be suitable for SATA 1 and 2.

I've tired all the usual Troubleshoot Help for SCSI .
I have an XP installation disk but it's not the orginal one for the PC...
Any ideas?

I don't want to increase the DPI and I want to stay with the 1024x768 resolution. The size of the icons are good enough, I just want my font to be readable. Also, I want the font of websites to increase as well because other options leave the website fonts behind.

I am using an Excel sheet at work with multiple pages, to log data. It was set up for me by someone else and all I need to do is enter the info.

Along the way, I have learned some of the basics about formatting, but my tech knowledge is quite limited.

Is it possible to make changes in the formatitng, such as with the rows and columns - width, height, number of - but to preserve that data which has been already entered as it is?

When I started with this log, certain information was being entered. Midstream additional information was requested to be added from that point forward, which meant a change in format.

The only way I knew how to accomplish this was to save one worksheet and begin anew with the revised format. Is there a way to combine them?

I know this is to be expected, but where did that other 32GB go? Is it being used for something? Do those GBs contain a copy of (back-up) of my little Dell 40GB internal hard drive?

If not, that's a lot of wasted GBs.

This happens when I try to sync my iPod also. But this doesn't happen when I plug in my phone (w850i). What happens when I put a USB stick in is the computer would freeze for 5 seconds and restarts without warning :(

I find that I'm addicted to Facebook and I want to acquire as many friends as possible, take lots of photos of myself in social settings, get as many wall posts as I can and give people the impression that I'm popular. I find that this is intruding into my life and interfering with my life since I log onto Facebook everyday!
How can I break this addiction? I have low self-esteem and I feel intimidated by popular, sociable people and I want to show them that I'm someone.
