what procesor i must opt..i m going to buy a new PC.but for core to dua is $50 costlier almost..so why i should go for core to duo..please tell me..whether i must buy a dual core or core to duo..or AMD..is there big difference between them...even i ve seen that coretoduo comes with lesser clock speed as 1.86ghz and dual core comes with 3ghz..please help me

Core2 Duo is fast even at 1.8 Ghz because it does more instructions per clock cycle and at low wattage. The Pentium Ds (dual core) is old technology that consumes more electricity (gets HOT). E2140/2160 or E4400/4500 are cheaper than E6xxx series. They are all based on Core2 Duo technology.
