512mb refers to the size of RAM. 2x512mb is best for Windows XP, double for Vista.

That's probably your RAM. You see, you must have RAM in your computer to do the processing. It's fast, but temporary. Your hard drive simply STORES the data for long term, while the RAM manipulates it.

80GB is 80 Billion
512MB is 512 Million

If you use Microsoft Windows XP, you are fine. But if you have Windows Vista, you really should have more RAM. Look up your computer at Crucial.com and get 1GB more

There is a good chance it is your memory capacity, A lot of people get confused between memory and disk space. Note that they are not the same thing. I hope you are using win xp cos that memory is fine, but don't even think about running windows vista without upgrading your memory size.

Hope this was helpful
