is wifi any different then the signal that my wireless router send out or do i have to get a different kind or internet i have wireless-6 brodband router

WiFi is commercial name of IEEE 802.11 standard and no different between your wireless router signal and them.But keep in mind 802.11 has 4 major standard:
802.11a
802.11b
802.11g
802.11n
your router and NIC card must use same technology to work with other

You have a wifi set up. I use primarily all WiFi hookups as I'm a truck driver. So I have accounts set up accross the country I can get it, as well as at my terminals.
