I am 12 years old and I know how to program. I want to work on a GNU project but I'm not sure that it's legal.

I know that I can legally program but in part 2.2 of http://www.gnu.org/prep/standards/standards.html it says "Each person who makes a nontrivial contribution to a program must sign some sort of legal papers....."

I doubt if it's legal for me to sign legal papers.

So is it legal for me to sign the legal papers?
If not is there any other way that I could work on a project with other programmers (preferably a GNU one)? Because I know that the best way for me to get better at programming is to work with people who have been programmers for a long time and are good at it.

If the program had to write to itself it could do so in a temporary cache file on the HD. Any updates could be flashed into the firmware. I just defragged and went from a half full disk to a third full, because the current system is quite inefficient.

I am going to purchase a scanner so that I can save old family photos. However, I have searched everywhere and I cannot find one. I have looked at Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Target, Circuit City, and others. So, I am forced to buy one online.

Now to my question. What should I look for in a scanner? What makes a scanner more reliable than other scanners?

Does anyone have any recommendations for a scanner?
I want a USB scanner.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

so its basically a table with a glass top and a projector (monitor) and 2 infrared cameres (mouse keyboard) to triangulate and track your hand movements.
It seems to all be plugged into a reg PC.

How much do you think it will cost when it hits the shelves at the beginning of next year?

SCARY thought: it uses cameras to be able to react to your hand movements. does that mean "big brother" can watch you?

My computer is falling apart. I want to buy a new one. I've had this one for years. I have Microsoft Office (including Publisher) & Nero Burning Rom on it. I have no idea where I put my disks. I can't find them. I was wondering if there were a way that I could burn those programs onto a disk, so I can have them to put on my new pc, w/out having to buy them over again. If so, what type of disk would I use. I have CD-R's that I burn music on. Would that work or would I need a CD-RW? And on Nero (the burning program I have) would I choose to make a "data" disk or choose another option? Thank you for your time!

There is a new move coming out about the journalist, Daniel Pearl, who was killed in Pakistan. When you open this link there is continuous background music from the movie. (Logo with sound "on", or "off". I have the sound on and the music keeps playing, as long as I stay in the webpage.

Is there any software that I can download that will burn the background music from the link, below, (webpage), onto a music CD.

I have a PNY Attache 512 MB flash drive and my desktop is an eMachines T5026 Windows XP Home edition. Every time I plug in the flash drive into any USB port, my computer recognizes it because it comes up in the list of hardware to be removed safely, but it does not appear in My Computer or anywhere else, so I can't see my files and do anything to them. I still have to go to the tool to safely remove the flash drive.

What can I do so that my computer recognizes my flash drive? It used to recognize it perfectly fine before, but I don't know why it doesn't recognize it now. I know the flash drive works because I've tried it on another desktop that I have and it works.

Please help me figure this out.

My desktop has DSL internet. I also have a laptop (wireless card built in) and I am trying to create a wireless network. I am using a Linksys router and Wireless card (connects through USB) on the desktop. I connect everything, the lights for WLAN; the port light; and the internet light on the router are all lit. The laptop is detecting a wireless network. The problem is when the router tries to configure---it says there is no internet conncection, even though the light on the router is on and the icon on the desktop shows I am connected. I cannot even get Internet Explorer to connect to enter the IP address to configure the router with DSL--it says there is no connection. When connecting the Ethernet directly to the computer, not via router, the connection is fine. Where am I messing up? Could the router be bad?
