DDR is an extension of what older memory technology?

What does the SO in SO-DIMM represent?

Whats the advantage of loading applications entirely into RAM rather than loading part of an application into virtual memory (a page file)?

Whats another term for a page file, and why are page files used?

How many bits of info. does a single cell of a memory chip on a 256MB PC700 DDR module hold?

Why would you have problems with a system in wich you installed three known-good RIMMs?

A relatively new memory technology uses only a 16-bit path.What acronym defines this type of memory?

What type of material is used to make a memory "chip?"

What function(s) does the aluminum on a RIMM serve?

Why might you not mind using slower memory (in MHz) if faster memory is avalible for a marginal price difference?

again, this is for my A+ core hardware class

my pc disconnects automatically even although i could be in the middle of browsing the internet or chatting to friends can anyone help please as i dont know the first thing about pc i have tried different scans but still nothing shows up

have been trying to burn a disc and the cd-rom doesn't work. In troubleshooting, i get a message saying it is working properly but cannot find the driver. So basically the computer recognizes that the cd-rom is there but it can't find the driver that makes it work.
I removed a Kodak photo program and when I finished, thats when the cd-rom stopped working.

Yesterday my Norton ran out so I proceeded to install Mcafee Total Protection which is a Fxxxxxg disaster,my comp is going at snails pace. I don't really want to bin it as it cost a few quid! Would really appreciate help and not the usual crap that Norton Mcafee are a waste of time etc.

I recently added IE 7 to my other computer and when it was done i rebooted like it said to and when my compter was done loading it clicked on the E to get online and now the page just flashes at me and then goes away :( dont know what i did. I can still get online like throught my messengers but not by my IE page PLEASE HELP ANYONE

How can a potential virus get into my e-mail inbox? I did not open--just deleted, so no harm, but I'm perplexed on how it even got that far if I'm so "protected". I have AVG Anti-Virus, Windows Firewall, Spy Bot, SpyWare Blaster,and AdAware, and a potential nightmare still got into my computer. Is this normal??? Any other security measures I should add? Thanks to all in advance.
