Is it somehow possible to set your desktop background to change to a different wallpaper everyday from a certain folder or maybe even website. If yes, could you please tell me how?

Something has really weird happened to my family computer the past few weeks. We've had around 30 GB on our hard drive and then one day it tripled. Like, it was 30 GB, but then it was saying it had 111 GB (out of 120, somewhere close to there). Even if we did download or install a new program, it wouldn't be that much. Do any of you have any explanations to explain this?

I had this GREAT site running on www.ipbfree.com but it always crashes! Last time it crashed, half my members got deleted, and it sucked! I want something more like Vbulletin, but that doesn't cost money. Nothing like Geocities, I need a forum! Please help, and thanks!!!!

A couple of years ago, I lost 7 chapters of my novel when my hard drive crashed after a sandstorm. I had my original notes, so I retyped the lost chapters, but I have not been able to recreate the mood of those characters and settings. If such data recovery IS possible, how much might something like that cost?

I may be taking a backpacking trip overseas and am wondering what would be the best type of laptop to take with me. I'd like to keep it around $1000 and no larger than a 14.1 screen:

Models I'm considering:

Lenovo ThinkPad z61t (expensive)
Lenovo V100 (12 in screen may be too small. durable?)
TwinLab Durabook (doesn't seem to have very good specs)
Toshiba Satellite U200 series (durability features but keboard seems mushy)
HP Pavillion DVD212US (excellent specs but concerned about durability)

Any other models you recommend?

The word processor is basically a copy of Microsoft Word, The Gimp is OK, the OS itself requires a lot of code writing, and if you like to play games, it's freakin' hard just to get it installed on your computer let alone actually playing them. If all that's good about it is the security, then I'd rather have my computer be able to do stuff and be not as secure, then be totally secure and not be able to do anything with it.

Those who use genuine windows xp could u help me. mine is not genuine,and i want to download ie 7.In the microsoft site there is an alternation method,in that if u download a file and run it in the pc u get a code and if u enter that code in the website u can download ie 7.
