You wont like this answer, but you shouldn't do your personal stuff at work. Your employer has the right to restrict access to Web sites that have nothing to do with your job/responsibilities. Your employer is paying you to do your job. They can use your personal Web surfing as an excuse to fire you.

Check MySpace and personal email on your own time (before or after work). Internet access is a priviledge at work. Don't abuse it.

Better yet, get a mobile device with Internet access if absolutely need access (like during a lunch break)

Good luck!

Hello, if your company you work for has blocked access to myspace they don't want you to do there while being at work. While you can get there with a bit of creativity, you would really be pushing their 'acceptable use of network resources policy'. So is stands to say, is accessing myspace from your work really worth getting in hot water with your employer?

If your employer blocked your website, they evidently don't want their employees playing on company time. Take the hint that work time is for work when you are on the clock. I would suggest you not try to circumvent the system, it could cost you your job and possible damages if you would manage to bypass it and allow a virus or someother malicious content to get in.

Many companies are monitoring their employees computer usage, watch what you are looking at while you are working if you want to keep you job.

Use college computers for college paintings, and myspace can wait until eventually you get residing house. Do you certainly need your instructors and school directors understanding what you're posting on myspace anyhow?

you have to get in the firewall settings and un block it
Using a firewall to help protect your computerA firewall helps protect your computer by preventing unauthorized users from gaining access to it through a network or the Internet. Windows Firewall is built into Windows XP and is turned on automatically, helping to protect your computer against viruses and other security threats.

A firewall is different from antivirus software, but the two of them work together to help protect your computer. You might say that a firewall guards the windows and doors against strangers or unwanted programs trying to get in, while an antivirus program protects against viruses or other security threats that can try to sneak in through the front door.

Notes

To open Windows Firewall, click Start, click Control Panel, click Network and Internet Connections, and then click Windows Firewall.
If you use the Advanced tab to turn off Windows Firewall for one or more individual connections, the Windows Security Center will report that the firewall is off, even though the firewall is still turned on for other connections. Also, on the General tab, Windows Firewall will still be set to On.

Go to it either from home or from the library. It is your bosses computer and if they don't want you there, it is not your place to go either during work, during break or after work.

I worked at a homeless shelter where the previous person went to their sites on break. The pop ups that came from their porn site visits just weren't appropriate.
