ok well i few days ago i replaced my old hard drive with a new 1 cause my old 1 was defective.And now when i stick in my flash drive it says"HI-speed USB device attached To non Hi-speed HUB" it also says obtain a hi speed USB host controller".

The base computer I guess will have the main connection on a DSL line. But each computer will be using a different log in name for 5 different accounts. Does each account get its own IP #, and will it be tracked differently by sites on the 'net? or is there just one IP for all of them?

I'm making an inventory list for work. It's a table. Starting off, it went onto 2 pages. I have a header, that showed on the top of both pages. I managed to change the font until it's all on one page. BUT the 2nd page is still showing...it's blank, except for the header on the top of the page. I've tried to use the "office assistant" & asked it how to delete that 2nd, un-needed page. I only need the 1st page, but it's not helping. Can anyone tell me how to delete that 2nd page, so only 1 will print? Thanks!

Basic problem is in setting of LAN in Windows 98SE. I know the way to do the same in Window XP SP2(as it was very simple) but am new to Windows 98SE. Please help me as I want to make Window XP SP 2 as server & 98SE as Client.

I can reconnect it but it grabs my neighbors "very low" signal and disconnect from my "very good" connection every few minutes. My wireless router (2Wire 1800HG) is in the same room, neighbors are 1-200 yards away. I don't have this problem with 3 other wireless PCs on the same network located throughout the house. Could I have a bad card (motherboard chip) on a 14 mo old laptop (it's been doing it quite a while)? I've tried disabling and re-enabling the connection and looked for a driver update (couldn't seem to get it to update) as well. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Oh, could my company's version of XP be causing problems with my 2wire router but like my neighbors linksys?

I know garbage collection takes over, but why can't you explicitly delete objects in java? It seems that with programming languages, or you can either have something like garbage collection, or you have to manage memory yourself. Is there a reason there can't be both? Is there a reason there ISN'T both?

I'm using CenterVue and trying to export call center reports to a spreadsheet. Unfortunately, sometimes the CenterVue data if it was less than an hour ends up formatted with a colon before the minutes and seconds. It's impossible to add a cell that has a colon before the minutes. Is there a way to easily get the format to change to h:mm:ss instead of manually making the change? For example changing :58:30 to just 58:30 or 0:58:30.

I want to build my own but don't want to be angry and disappointed if/when it doesn't work. The hard drive on my current Dell laptop is messed up and I get impatient using it (it's very slow).

I tried tinkering around with a paintball gun I never used and was totally upset that I spent so much money on it. My parents think that if I build my own computer there will be similar results.

So right now, I think the Windows XP files are corrupted on my hard drive, so I went in to repair the install, but the option is not available. I have, however, unpartitioned space available on this drive. Can I install Windows XP on this unpartitioned space without deleting the data on the other partition?

Hey guys I have a problem, I'm tring to recover my External Hard drive, I have formatted it to FAT32 because it doesn't seem to work with NTFS...But that's not the problem, When I try to put files on the external hard drive I keep getting the error: Cannot copy:(filename) The Request Could Not Be proformed because of an I/0 Device error...what's wrong with it!?

I'm using a different comp now...but my other comp is
Xp Home.
Somehow, when I was using Windows Messenger 8.5 Live Beta, a link popped up in a message and I accidentally clicked it.
Suddenly, a entire series of downloads began and I was unable to stop it.
A toolbar called 888 toolbar appeared, along with many other things I can't remember. My Windows Defender program went crazy with high alerts!
20 mins later, it opened messenger, opened a seperate browser per contact and typed the same message:
"It that you on -site name here-??"
The link leads to a key logger / virus site.

My Xp Home edition can only go to the black screen with a bar showing it's loading at the bottom. A moment before it should go to the userid page, it blanks out and restarts.
Help me please!

OK, so I'm trying to step into some code in a .dll and need to attach to a process that's currently running. I'm using MS VisualStudio (and coding in C++ if it matters).

I select "attach to process" and the box that comes up shows nothing. Not even system processes. The really annoying part is that this used to work (a few weeks ago) and I don't remember changing anything.

I assume it's not looking in the right place, but don't know how to tell it what to do. Any ideas?
