The motherboard has nothing to do with the actual files. it is a board that all the companents plug into.
In order to retrieve your photos, open the laptop and remove the hard drive. Then go buy an 2.5 inch external enclosure for a laptop harddrive. make sure it uses usb as the interface. You can then plug it into any computer with a usb port, and it will be accessable as a second drive.
Ive attached a link from newegg, which is a very highly rated site, and I can vouch for it too. Extremely good customer service.

Well, the motherboard doesn't hold the data you seek. Every system has a hard drive that holds information. All you'd have to do is take the hard drive out and either get an external enclosure (www.newegg.com), plug it in, then attach the USB cable to another computer or slave it to an existing system. You would need to set the jumpers on the back of the hard drive to the slave position as it is in the master or cable select position currently.
Good luck!

there is not any own information on a motherboard, except possibly the settings you used on your difficult drives (form of sectors, length, etc) and doubtless the password in case you placed one on the BIOS. If this were a difficult disk, i'd have you ever hit it with a hammer, run over it together with your automobile, and drop it in a vat of acid, when you consider that it really is the position each and each of the unique information like your aunt Carol's secret lemon loaf recipe and extremely last 12 months's taxes were saved. only toss the motherboard. If aggravating, destroy it in 0.5 and throw one section contained in the trash bin, and then the different 0.5 a week later.

You should be able to go to a computer store and ask for a 2.5" laptop to IDE Adapter. It is like $4.
Then just connect it to a Desktop computer to retrieve the pictures.

you can probably find a local service that can retrieve data off your hard drive for you. If its only the motherboard thats fried your pictures should be safe on your HD (hard drive). good luck!

The motherboard has nothing to do with the hard-drive where your files are stored. You might/should be able to pull/get the hard-drive out and place it into a different machine and get to the data.
Good luck!
