My external harddrive is not opening to view my files, this drive is used soley for my music collection, the drive wont let me copy the files to anywhere, is there anyway i can save these files before i throw this drive in the bin as i have a lot of rare music on it?

i have 2 questions. i have a old windows98 computer that is so slow and dose nothing right half the time how can i clean it up and speed it up? also i bought a digital camera and after i instaled the software it dose not work. it keep telling me to fix my resolution to 800 by 600 but it wont let me do this.it refairs me to the divice manger i dont understand it. some help please. i dont have the internet.....

i need to know how to set quicktime- for windows- as my main player because,
when i go to delete the folder is says that some files won't be accessable
nero completely took over my computer it won't allow me to delete it but i've finally found a way
so i need to know that if i delte it will i still be able to view my mpeg files?

My desktop background is white, And i don't know why or what I did that made that way, I've ran norton, adware, spyware, went to control panal, tried to change it and there's nothing there, Well it's there I just can't choose any of them, It's like their not there. I have found no one smart enough to help me find this out. I have asked in answers and no can seem to tell why, I have a blank white screen in the background. When i start my computer I can see it for 1sec.then it turns white, when I log out, it shows up, when the computer is shutting down. If any one knows about let me know. ty

I was using pc security by troposoft a long time back. unfortunately I forgot the password. without knowing this I locked my e and f drives. now the problem is I'm unable to save or delete anything in those drives but I can only read what is left in those drives. I even don't know the software's serial no.. if I try deleting it using add/remove programs it asks to unlock it using the password. what shall I do?
