I'm currently modify a folder and I'm going to delete it and all of it's components, but i still need help_?

Question

i need to know how to set quicktime- for windows- as my main player because,
when i go to delete the folder is says that some files won't be accessable
nero completely took over my computer it won't allow me to delete it but i've finally found a way
so i need to know that if i delte it will i still be able to view my mpeg files?
