In the past, all the computer ads, in the flyers that accompany various newspapers, invariably highlighted, for each computer that was offered for sale, 1)processor speed, 2)memory size and 3)disc capacity. Lately, the ads don't mention processor speed. Why not?

Lately, my wireless internet for my laptop will show a strong singal but the speed will not stay at a constant high. It will go down seemingly without reason to 24mpbs. This happens even when I am right near the router. My neighbors are using channel 6 on their routers so I am using channel 1. I have tried other channels as well and nothing is helping. Also, the cordless phone is not to blame because I have a 5 ghz phone so it will not interfere with my network. My apartment is small and for over a year until recently I have had no issues.
So I am ruling out the following:
-interference from any other wifi networks around my apt

-cordless phone

-distance


So what else could it be?

I am caught in a loop with Windows XP. My computer powers up, does the memory test and then takes me to an option screen where I can choose if I want to start in Safe, safe with commad prompt, safe with networking, load last successful settings or start windows normally. No matter what I do, I get the windows logo for about 10 seconds then the computer re-starts. Any suggestions? Every once and a while, I get into the setup and it says that the speed of my processor is off... any direction is appreciated.

We'd like to use Linksys cordless Internet Telephony Kits with Skype to keep in contact with our family. The phone is USB, Model CIT200. Does it have Mac drivers? I know Skype itself does, but we can't find them on the Linksys website. Anybody have experience with this particular internet phone and Macs? Thanks

In the past I would push, Ctrl+Alt+print screen and then go to word or other programs and do a "paste". I am running windows XP and that is not working. I have tried just "Print Screen" and then paste and that won't work either.

How can I get qet a screen shot of my desktop or what ever I may want a screen shot of and save it?

My computer's got some kind of virus that a bunch of pop-ups appear like when I'm on the internet and even when I'm not on the internet. And sometimes when I'm online or not, all of a sudden this blue screen comes up and says to remove any hardware I just got or something.
