Well, I like using this sneaky technique:
Make a website with www.freewebs.com
Then host it with http://www.freedomain.co.nr/
This is for begineers, and you must have .co.nr at the end. This is all free. However, there are far superior, and more powerful web-creating sites out there - but you'd have to know HTML, and it would cost money to host it.

put in your last name in the search bar and see if a page comes up that says www.yourname.com it will let you know if it is possible there is one for my name and mine is the wierdest name around so just try it im not sure if you can make a free webpage or not tho you can at www.geocities.com

Well try making a website at www.freewebs.com then your site will come out www.freewebs.com/yoursite
If you want it more personalized use a url forwarding service. There are many for free, just search free url forwarding on google
