My PC is busted and I'm thinking of buying an Apple MacBook. I heard that PowerBooks have been discontinued.

I'm not looking for anything special but I would like a very good laptop so that I could do basic stuff like documents, watch DVDs, play some games and not have to worry about speed and memory.

Plus, I would like to buy from a company that has good customer service (I'm sick of Dell and I've heard Lenovo isn't good either).

Is Apple coming out with any more laptop models at the end of this year? Is it unreasonable to look for a laptop with 7200 rpm, is 5400 rpm good enough?

Any suggestions for any laptops from any company?

A blue screen comes up that says BAD_POOL_CALLER .I don't know what that means.If someone has any idea what that means and how I can fix it my self instead of going to geeks which charge an arm and a leg to help you fix it.I have all the disks that my comuter came with just in case I'll need them I really don't want to loose any info on my hard drive b-cause there is important info and I haven't backed anything up.I know I should of.Well to late now .If someone could please help me.And give me step by step instructions on how to fix it or what I should do.

The one I have won't burn DVD's because it says they are copy protected, but I want to make back up copies of my movies and can't do it with Nero.

I have received some very convincing emails about supposed winnings from an on-line lottery. The emails have a link to a site bearing the same name as the emails and the site is very sophisticated, appearing to be authentic. The problem is, though the winnings seem to be substantial, the company supposedly handling the money transfer wants a large prepayment for its own fees, processing and insuring of the check which is to be sent by UPS. It has even generated a tracking number which is posted on a site bearing what appears to be the UPS logo. The prepaymetn is small compared to the winnings, yet, I am very leery.

I don't want advice about it's a scam, etc. What I want is someone who knows how, and is willing, to investigate this company via the Net.

Can anyone help me?

PC world told me today laptops should only be used on hard flat surfaces. Why call them LAPTOPS ???????

I am building a system with a computer case that has a Side Air duct for a fan on the side panel.

I usually do 1 fan blowing cool air from the front, and 2 fans blowing out the back (1 regular and 1 pci blower for the video card).
Since this case has a side fan air duct - should I use it? If so, blowing in or out.
I have heard many people blow air in onto the cpu- but wont this disrupt the air flow since the cpu is blowing out?
If I did use it, how many other fans would you use (don't want too many for noise reduction)?

Ok, i want real answers.
I Downloaded IQ Trainer 1.1 and used a bad serial.
It said that my IP was logged and will be sent to their lawyers and the only way out is to buy the software within one day.
Do you think thats serious?
BTW i refreshed my IP right after
