I have a Westell DSL modem and a Netgear WPN824 rangemax wirelss router. When the router is connected my laptop recieves the signal through the wireless card but my desktop does not have internet access. My desktop does not have a wireless card. My desktop does have access when I reconnect the cables to my modem.

Is this the way the router is supposed to work or do I have a defective router? Or is my router configured incorrectly? Or am I supposed to have a wireless card for my desktop?

I search US trade marks ect. and there was none. I searched the State in which this thing is located and there was no trade names or corporations recorded.

I registered the domain name.

I now found 3 registered "trade names" registered in Nevada.

Is my domains safe I have them cash parked right now.

The business is not using the trade names in business though it has the .com registered and forwarded. I bought a .info of the name.

Rebooted from Windows XP Home Edition disc, re-loaded all software (except WinTV card - can't find disc) ... everything okay except Display locked at 640 x 480 Lowest 4 bit. Can't adjust Settings - no joy from Troubleshooter.
Checked System/Device Manager : shows problems "Other devices" -
Ethernet Controller
Multimedia Audio Controller
Multimedia Controller
Multimedia Video Controller
Video Controller (VGA Compatible)
(Everything else checks out okay).

Any ideas gratefully received.

I lost my windows xp disk and my pc is crashing everytime I boot because of corrupt installation.... wanna know if someone knows of windows xp boot disks that fix installations? (other than the original windows xp disk, obviously)

i had a file in microsoft word and when i was moving out of my parents house i tried to copy it on to a hard disk. after that i erased the file, its still there but when you open it, its blank. i erased it so my parents wouldnt see, but they gave me the laptop when i moved out anyway. to make this story short, i didnt copy the file on the disk right and it is erased on my comp, is there any way to get this file back?? i tried to look in the comp for it, but i couldnt find it. please help!!!

I recently removed then added again Spybot Search & Destroy 1.4 where I purged: WildTangents, WinSoftware, WinAntiSpyware2006, Windows Security Center AntiVirus/Firewall Disable Notify (should I recover these 4 items?). I normally use McAfee Security (Personal Firewall Plus and VirusScan), should I add my IP address to the list of allowed sites? Will this make a difference, can a firewall affect my Outlook Express? My Outlook Express had been working fine for the 5 months I've had it since yesterday until after I reinstalled Spybot. I can't receive incoming messages or send messages through Outlook Express as I get this error message: An unknown TCP/IP error occurred. Account: 'mail.comcast.net', Server: 'mail.comcast.net', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC40**PLEASE HELP!!!**AS THE REPS HAVE NO CLUE!!!
