When you get to the end of one row and want to move down to the next row you hold down the Alt button then hit the enter key, this does a 'soft carriage return' so you can continue typing into the same cell.

Just start typing, text will usually overflow to the next cells to display but the text is all in one cell. Other than that you would need to be more specific and provide better details about what you are trying to do.

Select the cells that you want to write in, right click and select 'merge cells'. Alternatively, press ctrl1, click the alignment tab and select 'wrap text'. One of these should answer your question.

Alt & return (enter) together!!
Take no notice of the ones telling you to merge cells coz you lose a line of text that way!!
