well, long story short..earlier tonight i tried to hook up a webcam-to no avail.
after realizing it wasnt going to work, i uninstalled everything i could find on my computer that had to do with it and thought i was finished with it.
now a little box thing keeps coming up telling me to insert the webcam disk. i had already put it back in the box to take back to the store, and the only option it gives is "ok". so i clicked it and it just keeps coming back up! over and over...it eventually goes away for a few minutes but comes back again. i ended up getting the disk out and putting it in. it immediatly ejected it and told me to insert some unknown disk that i dont have.
so now i am back to clicking ok, ok, ok...
do you know how to get rid of this? i would really appreciate any help! thank you :)

It does not have one. Since it is an old laptop, all that I can really upgrade are the battery and hard drive. ( In the way of hardware ) I have been reading about the DirectX SDK (Software Developement Kit), and downloaded it. I cannot tell which component has the "reference rasterizer", apparently the part I need. If you know of any better software, please tell me. I would also need to know how to use whatever it is I install. I just did google/yahoo searches to get started. Now I'm stuck. Links to sites would be good. Thanks!

Ok, so I was having problems with my computer...I downloaded AVG Free and scanned. It found 4 infected files, but they seem to be 1 file?? (Java/Byte/Verify) But it can't heal them because they are archived??

I have a keyboard plugged to my laptop. I never clean the laptops keyboard and yet friends and family constantly tell me that dust isn't good for the keyboard. I recently saw an ad in an electronics store that offered to clean your laptop inside and out for $40. I used that laptops keyboard and it worked fine.

Is this just a myth or is dust bad for your keyboard. Have any of you lost a keyboard because of dust?

For Windows application, we have been using tools like Crystal Report to generate reports with page / group headers footers.

Is there any equivalence for Web application (for example, a PHP application)? We have been outputting our results in HTML format and the users have to print them out by using browser's "File .. Print" feature. As a result, we are not able to determine the page size and it's not possible to produce a nice report with repeating page headers, fixed width, etc.

I'd appreciate it if you could tell me a way to do it. Something like "Crystal Report for the web application". Thanks.

Sometimes when I write my letters type in caps even though my caps lock is not on. When I turn Caps Lock on the letters go back to normal but then caps lock is on. When this is happening and I need to type in numbers it prints ! @ # $ instead of 1 2 3 4 for example. The symbols are typed if the caps lock is on or off it doesn't seem to matter. I don't know if this is a problem with my computer or just some kind of key combination. The only thing that fixes the problem is shutdown (restart doesn't fix it). Also when I click on an icon on my desktop it highlights all the icons in its row and keeps doing and when I go to another row the ones highlighted before stay highlited. I am on a laptop. Can anyone help?

I have searched many links through yahoo.[Also those which I should not].

Hi.. I have an image of 1000px on my website. When I see this image on my 17' laptop with resolution 1440*1028, it looks good. But when I view the same on a 15.4' desktop with resolution 1028*768, it looks very big and blurred. My image is in a td. If I give td width="80%" and then image width="80%", it reduces image size but the td is still of 1000px. Can someone please suggest a solution to this?
