You need picture editing software

Paintshop Pro
Corel Draw
Adobe Photoshop

And more.

Load up your images. Any number that you want to join together.

Create a new image the size of the banner and set the background as you require, image or background colour.

Select each of your images in turn using a selection tool to select parts of the images. You will also need to set feathering to greater than zero to give a degraded edge to the selection. Copy the selection and paste to the new image as a layer.
Arrange the new layer into the correct position.

When complete you will have to merge the layers and save as either jpeg of gif. It may be worth saving the image as the program type to preserve the layers for future amendments.

Make use of photoshop.

1. Just open the three images
2. Copy the images into new file in different layers
3. Then place a background image at the bottom most layer
4. Use the polygonal lasso and select the person in any one layer
5. Now give him the feather effect. (Alt + Ctrl + D)
6. Now enter value say 5 - 15 (the more the value u get more curvy selection)
7. press enter
8. Now make the selection inverse (Ctrl + Shift + I)
9. Now press delete
10. Repeat for other 2 images
11. Now create a layer over the topmost layer
12. Select linear gradient and select both colcors as white and give one opacity as 0 and the others as 30
13. Select an area on the top of the frame say around 10 - 20% of the frame and as ur wish and apply the gradient from top to bottom within the selected area.
14. Copy the selected area and paste it below till u reach the bottom of the frame.
15. Now merge all teh layers with the gradient to a singe layer
16. In the layer window select the gradient layer and then change the layer mode to softlight.

you have to take three pictures of the same guy at almost the same time with the same background and make sure the camera doesnt move.....the purpose of taking the pic in the short period is due to the shadows and light effect ...and you can then use any imaging tool like Adobe photoshop to mix the two images i.e removing the guy from one pic and pasting it into another.....

Photoshop, don't think you'll just become a instant master at it though, it takes a couple years to be able to make stuff from scratch...you could actually make a career out of it, design stuff for websites like Microsoft etc...
