i have over 3900 pictures on this computer that i cant loose. no back up disk either

I am running OS 10.3.9 on a Mac iBook. I already own MPEG Streamclip 1.7, VLC Media Player 0.8.4, Quicktime 7.1.2, iMovie 3.0.3, RealPlayer 10.1.0. and Windows Media Player for Mac 9.0.0. Will any of these do the trick? I'm trying to avoid buying still another program, like Adobe Premiere Elements.

When i put a cd into my f or e drive my computer says theres no cd in there even though there is. any suggestions why it might do this or how to fix it? and it doesnt do it all the time. sometimes it works and other times it doesnt.

I have a Compaq Presario model SR1503WM and I have the old hard drive from my old computer but it had windows 98 on it. Is it possible to just plug it in to the slave port wires and use it with XP. I want to update files on the 98 drive and also use it to keep music, photo's, and video's on. Saving my XP drive for my other endevors. Possibilites anyone? Problems?

It seems like there is a preponderance of ignorant, ill-mannered, and uninformed opinions on the Internet. It has gotten to the point that all intelligent expression is being drowned out by a cacophony of stupidity. And it seems like a good portion of this stupidity is being spewed by young people.

Now don't get me wrong, I think young people are great. They're full of energy and excitement, etc. But they also are very ignorant about a great many things.

Perhaps they should be allowed to peruse the Internet but not post their opinions upon it until they receive an Internet license. If you have to be 16 to drive, 17 to see an R-rated movie, and 18 to vote, maybe we should have something similar for posting on the Internet.

I like to game online with my Nintendo DS and a Linksys Wireless Router. The only problem is that when I invite friends over for them to play online as well, my ISP doesn't give me enough IPs for all of them and we lose the connection. I would like to know how to set up my router so that it will give out the IPs and not the ISP so I can have as many connections as I want and the DSL line will sustain. Can anyone help?

I am creating a web site using Microsoft Publisher. I need to make an image gallery, to show thumbnails of pictures and allow you to click on them to enlarge the image. It is taking entirely too long to insert each individual picture. Is there some other way--maybe some program that I can use to properly do this? Some way that will definitely shorten the process?
