First off, that's not what I'm looking for. And with this being a free site, yahoo does have a responsibility to keep the "adult" questions in an adult area. As for parents not monitoring their children, well I'm certainly not responsible for those people. I think there should be some sort of moderation here. But that's just my opinion.

Good question!

So much obscene, racist, hate-filled stuff. I'm 55 and I don't want to see it either.

It's everyone's responsibility to demand a well-monitored site. There are ways around everything unfortunately. I would complain myself but to whom do I complain???

Dwight...that's not the point. Yahoo will fix it when they get some experience of some of the horrific comments. If not, they wouldn't ask for abuse to be reported, would they?

Why should they?

This is a free service provided to Internet users. If parents are not going to moderate what their children do online there is no reason to think that Yahoo! should do it for you. I don't want the Internet sanitized for kids on the basis that some bad parents do not supervise their kids.

With all that said I have never read anything on here that I believe would harm a child any more than the thousands of adult themed sites that exist online.

Hi, that's a good question. I would guess the reason for that is they automatically think that anyone who is going on to yahoo answers is old enough to see the adult questions put up. Furthermore, if there would be a separate section for adult questions, it might be more tempting for curious children to want to look at them.

Because there shouldn't be explicit questions on here. That's not what this website is for. There are adult forums out there. Just google for them.

Thats why they have the abuse button. Why dont you stop putting the blame on Yahoo and have parents maybe supervise their children a little, hu???

Its life. Kids become adults. What is wrong with learning early? Having then wonder will become bad when they actually do something.

Cause minors would still access and they don't want to deal with that kind of legality. Just playing it on the safe side.
