Is it possbile to share an internet conncetion from the host computer using just 56k modem and cable? I don't have LAN card on my laptop.

Mayb my words a little confusing. Would it work if I connect 56k modem to 56k modem on conputer with LAN internet connection?

No, why would you? It would be impossible to do anything. Also you would have to have a LAN card.

Not possible without a LAN card, for the simple reason that you need a LAN card to be able to connect to other computers over a network.

you can do Internet connection sharing with dial up which is in the properties of the connection on the advanced tab but you will need a network card in both the laptop and on your desktop to do the sharing

superb guy or woman to respond to your question is cyber web cafe. they have diverse computers put in on a unmarried dial up connection. even if on your prompt information: i imagine of you %. an outside dial-up modem, with the help of that you'll connect 2 computers & use both one in each and every of them simueltaneously. extra in case you opt to strengthen the surfing speed you %. set up a router. (yet for 2 workstation I dont imagine of cyber web speed will be affected)

There probably is a horribly convoluted way to do it. If you have a USB port on your laptop, though, I would recommend picking up a USB LAN card and using that. MUCH easier, and it would be much faster also.

Yes it is, but for the trouble you would have to go threw it is most likely not worth your time or money.

but therer are network adpaters that connect via USB
