My old house came with wireless access, but now I'd like to hook it up in my new house. I have the USB connection to pick up the signal, but I'm not sure what else I need... a phone line, a router???

I'm backing up to CD's. I don't have a lot of stuff, but have some big files and don't want to keep writing it to CD all over again. Right now i'm sort of keeping track in my head what I haven't backed up already.

i always watch movie from there..but everytimes they last for a few minutes and stop there...then show the word "share this video" and 'replay'.I HAVENT WATCH TILL THE END YET!!!
but everytime i want to watch them,they keep on like this...what's wrong?
did you ever try that before?what can i do to let me watch the whole movie?

What is virtual memory ? ....Why does my lap top say virtual memory is low ?....is this serious or important.....? Have I caused the problem ?....Should I be doing something to avoid this happening or is it just part of the system I need not worry about as it does correct itself... I do hope so. Thankyou.

Yesterday my other computer just shut down, as if there was a power failure (but there wasn't). When it restarted, it said "Windows did not start successfully. A recent hardware or software change might have caused this." Then it asks me to choose how to start it (Normally, Safe Mode, Last known good config, etc). No matter what option I select, it restarts and the same thing happens. There's no way to end the cycle.

I built myself a new computer. I always thought about installing Linux on it, and I did Ubuntu. Quite honestly I am happy with what I got for the price I paid, FREE. But I do not maintain a hardcore stance against Microsoft, I would use it if its cheap. I tried to look around for Windows XP Home edition (FULL Version), but that costs $200. How can I get a legitimate copy of Windows XP Home (FULL) at a cheap price, no OEM or Student's Version.

I have already entered a lot of ip's & links in the localhost in the "hosts" file to block pop-ups like media.fastclick,etc.in Win.XP(C:\WINDOWS\ system32\drivers\etc\host), after opening the "host" file by using the "Notepad" program & it got saved. Now, when I try to add more ip's & links in the "hosts" file it doesn't get saved & another text file is created with the same name. What do I need to do to add more ip's & links in the "hosts" file & save it too ?
Please answer only if you know & are well informed. Pllllllease!!!

spyquake put spyware on my pc and I can't get rid of it and they refuse to respond to my requests. A small pop up which states that my pc is infected with a critical problem, pop up in the lower right side of my screen every few minutes. I was able to remove the other parts of the adware through Search and Destroy and Adaware from Lavasoft - but this one remaining pop up remains. Pop up blocker does not prevent this small screen from appearing. Please help.

everytime i try 2 burn 2 cd, it starts 2 burn then stops. it states try using different brand cd. i have tried several different types. it also says running 2 quik,so i slow down the speed,still the same thing. do i need 2 reinstall anykind of hardware? if so were would b a good place 2 get 1 on net.i have used differnt speed cds. sometimes it will burn a couple of songs then stops. help please. best answer gets 10 points.

I was recently given a hard drive which had been partitioned into 3 drives. I used partion magic (I think) to merge them into 1 but now its saying I have only 20% memory left but there are no programs on the machine. How can I restore it to 100%?
