i have a 40 GB harddisk but the BIOS as well as windows is unable to
show the whole disk space!and it rather shows approx. 33 GB only!So,how
can i make my harddisk to show and work on the 6 to 7 GB disk space

On my daughters computer, I had Windows 2000 pro on the hard drive, a back-up hard drive with a ghost image on it, and a 52x CD drive.and comp would not boot up - just kept saying drives not recognised.
Would not even start from Windows disk, or in safe mode.
Went into bios, and everything seemed fine, altered things and put them back as they were set, even loaded defaults, and still no joy.
I formatted the hard drives, and loaded Windows XP pro, and I am still having the same problem.
I have also tried several different hard drives, thinking that the original was on its way out.
Anyone got any ideas as to how to fix it, or what the cause is??

Just recently when I right click to save a picture off the internet, it automatically saves it has a .bmp, even if the picture is a .jpeg or .gif. Does anybody know why it's doing this and how do I fix it?

i have had 2 games crash on me"ballistics" and "x111" both of which are from game download sites
i have tried boxed original games like toca,dead mans hand,ect and they work fine,so is it just a bug in the downloaded games ,as it cant be my graphic card ,can it? as 99% of games i play are fine
i used dxdiag and tested direct x interfaces and all tests were succsesfull
can anyone tell me of such a graphic card diagnostic tool(but not 3d mark)as my card(radeon 9550)is not the best card ,but it does for the amount of gaming i do

a program has taken over my internet browser and god knows what else! my home page has been changed from yahoo to a site that calls itself systemuptodate. this keeps recomending i buy a package called system doctor. i have found sites which describe this as a bogus program which tries to pressure you into buying something which you do not need. adaware se, spyware doctor, spybot, and ewido have all failed to spot this. help!

this problem stated recently and it is affecting every file in my computer.If I click attachment,the browser will appear but when I click and choose a file and click attach, a small window with message -invalid file specified will appear. I just want to resolve this issue

I want to Upload some old video clips off of my old VHS Tapes, so I can post them on www.youtube.com. But, I do not know how. Do I need to buy a cord to plug into my VCR? Or Do I just need to start finding my old videos on DVD? Haha

My friend's friend added me to his contacts a few days ago. And we were talking normally online. He goes to the same school as me, so i know who he is. But just a few days a go, he started talking wierdly and saying that he's some guy from delhi. I'm getting worried. I don't know if he's pulling my leg, or that there's something wrong with his id. And i cant even ask my friend who gave him my id because he hardly comes online and I can't even talk to any of them, because they left school, and i don't have any of their contact information. Is there any was to find out the background information of a person using his id through the net for free?...pls help me, im getting really worried

I downloaded ALL codecs Microsoft offeres. I even installed Media player 11. No other players will play this video clip either. One player said it couldn't recognize the file format. Others say I may not have the right codec. HELP PLEASE. Thank you.
