this problem stated recently and it is affecting every file in my computer.If I click attachment,the browser will appear but when I click and choose a file and click attach, a small window with message -invalid file specified will appear. I just want to resolve this issue

This error generally occurs when the settings file is not readable, does not exist, or contains malformed XML.
Verify that you still have this file or that it exist, if it is a folder, make sure it is not empty. If it is a picture file, the file is not damaged. Try to open up the file using Windows Explorer to check.

One last thing: Make sure the file is not open while you try to attach it. That's the most common problem.

There is a corruption problem on the hard drive. Run Fdisk
