My friend's friend added me to his contacts a few days ago. And we were talking normally online. He goes to the same school as me, so i know who he is. But just a few days a go, he started talking wierdly and saying that he's some guy from delhi. I'm getting worried. I don't know if he's pulling my leg, or that there's something wrong with his id. And i cant even ask my friend who gave him my id because he hardly comes online and I can't even talk to any of them, because they left school, and i don't have any of their contact information. Is there any was to find out the background information of a person using his id through the net for free?...pls help me, im getting really worried

You can't trust strangers on the internet. How are you sure that your friend's friend online was *really* your friend's friend to begin with?

Regardless, if he's weirding you out, don't talk to him. Block him from your contact list if he's bugging you and forget about it. Or pick up a phone book and see if you can find your friends' numbers to see if you can find out what's going on. If you're really worried, it's worth a couple wrong numbers or a few 411 calls.

My advice, regardless of what you do, is not to give him any personal information. Don't give him your address. Don't give him your number. Don't give him your parents names. Don't tell him what school you go to. Sure, maybe it sounds paranoid, but you don't know who you're talking to. You have no way of knowing what he's going to do with anything you tell him.

-- A stranger on the internet. You shouldn't trust any of us. If you need help, try your family or friends.

Access to the net work maybe free, but to communicate requires and address. Various software companies like yahoo.com. If your friend's friend has a yahoo count, friend@yahoo.com you can ask yahoo. It really depends when the account is. That is why there is an "@" website name: It means friend is at yahoo.com

If you , just contact Yahoo and report the abuse.
